Barbara decided that she will run to catch Stane and Heidi, that Heidi will start working properly. When Barbara and Kala caught them, Heidi was really happy, worked very nice until the slope and narrow path through snow started. Then she wanted to go near Kala, as they are usually in the sled together. So she made many problems to Stane up and down the peak Kum. But when this slope finished, and when Stane and Barbara could walk beside each other i.e. Heidi could walk beside Kala, Heidi started to work perfectly.
The next trail will be circular, so no dogs will meet and also the path will not be so narrow i.e. Stane will probably go the longer trail (20 km) with Kala and Heidi (this might be the only way, Heidi will work), Barbara the shorter trail (10 km) with both toller girls (Gea and Pretty).
Previous doghiking (to St. Peter) and this doghiking (to Kum), Gea was very sad that she could not join. She actually run in the paths' direction both times, but returned when she realised, that we were already "far gone". So she really has to participate.
This time Kala had on a different harness, while all others are or to small or not a correct type. She has a very wide chest i.e. she has to have at least 2 wide bands on her chest, otherwise that one too narrow band for her moves to one of her chest's halves and hurts (she has crust on one side of her chest due to the harness). This harness, she had for doghiking Kum, was OK, but still it will not be good when the temperatures will rise. So we have to go with Kala to the harness-maker to create one harness just for her untypical shape of the sled dog body.
The results: Heidi and Stane were 5th among men and 2nd among men walkers with 13 points in the cup, Babara and Kala were 3rd among women and 2nd among women walkers with 15 points in the cup.
